Summer job information

Rental station routines

Cleaning up and equipping
The car is thoroughly cleaned up inside and out after the previous holidaymaker and equipped for the next one. Equipping the car means checking the condition of the car's equipment and replacing missing items. The car is also equipped with the accessories ordered by the customer.
The functionality of the car's technical equipment, such as air and water heating systems, refrigerator and gas cooker, is also checked. In the process of cleaning up and equipping the car, it should also be checked for possible damages.

Office work
After cleaning up and equipping the car, rental documents are prepared. The person who hands the car over to the customer checks in the company's TcNet that all accessories ordered by the customer are in the car and prepares the rental documents in advance. When customers are picked up from the airport, a welcome sign with the customer's name on it needs to be prepared, so that customers will recognize the person who has come to meet them at the airport.

Customer service
Customer service usually starts at the airport where the seasonal worker representing Touring Cars comes to meet the customers, using either the company's minibus or the motorhome reserved for the customers. One customer service worker always serves one customer at a time. The customers are transported to the rental station, where they are instructed in the use of the motorhome by means of a video tutorial and one-on-one guidance. After this, rental agreement documents are signed and additional accessories, such as a BBQ set or navigator, are offered to the customers.

Knowledge of the country
In order to provide the customers with comprehensive information about the country they travel in, the customer service worker needs to have general knowledge of the history, geography and culture of the country in question. It is very important to be familiar with questions related specifically to motorhome holidays. The customers might be abroad or driving a motorhome for the first time, so they typically have numerous questions, which the customer service worker needs to be able to answer professionally.

Problematic situations
Solving challenging situations is part of everyday work. To put it simply: everything that is out of the ordinary is ordinary in tourism business. Touring Cars' seasonal workers need to be prepared to solve issues quickly in all situations and to take responsibility when needed. Teams in the rental station and the sales office will always provide support.
